Basketball Game Preview: Arcadia/Loup City Rebels vs. Central City Bison

The Arcadia/Loup City Rebels just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Central City Bison at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Arcadia/Loup City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-54 to Wood River. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Eagles are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Central City came up short against Fillmore Central on Thursday and fell 68-60. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central City now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Arcadia/Loup City ended up a good deal behind Central City when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 50-31. Can Arcadia/Loup City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
