After a string of three wins, Lamar Consolidated's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell  2-0 to the George Ranch Longhorns. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Longhorns from their previous meeting  back in August of 2019.
 Lamar Consolidated was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22,  25-17.
 Julieann Zepeda paced Lamar Consolidated's offense, picking up eight kills. Zepeda got some help from  Isabella Howard and her six assists.  Julissa Zepeda controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Lamar Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for George Ranch, they now  have a winning record of 10-9.
 Lamar Consolidated didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  2-1  victory against Brazoswood on the 28th. As for George Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against Paetow on the 28th.
