Volleyball Recap: Matoaca Takes a Loss

Matoaca was the 3-1 winner over Colonial Heights when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Colonials by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matoaca started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-9.

Matoaca's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Colonial Heights, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.

Coming up, Matoaca will face off against Maggie Walker at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Colonial Heights, they will square off against Dinwiddie at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
