Basketball Game Preview: Columbiana Clippers vs. United Golden Eagles

The Columbiana Clippers will head out to challenge the United Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbiana is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Columbiana is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Valley Christian, posting a 78-13 win. The Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, United's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost to East Liverpool on the road by a 54-38 margin.

Columbiana's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.3 points. As for United, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Everything came up roses for Columbiana against United in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 58-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbiana since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
