Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greer). They claimed a resounding 61-21 win over the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers. The Yellow Jackets haven't had any issues with the Fighting Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Calvin McCoy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 225 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Greer is 2-1 when McCoy posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Xavier Sammet was another key player, throwing for 192 yards and one TD on only 17 passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Greer proved: they limited Blue Ridge to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The Yellow Jackets didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.

Greer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Chase Free.

The win got Greer back to even at 4-4. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,044 yards in their previous games.
