Basketball Game Recap: Central Baptist Swordsmen vs. Fayette Academy Vikings

It was a good run, but the Central Baptist Swordsmen unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 73-62 to Fayette Academy. Central Baptist has not had much luck with Fayette Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Fayette Academy found their leader in underclassman Clay Anderson, who scored 28 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least 25% of Fayette Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Harris Armour, who scored 21 points.

Central Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fayette Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Baptist will take on South Haven Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayette Academy, they will be playing at home against Hardin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardin County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Fayette Academy likes a good challenge.
