Softball Recap: Whale Branch Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Whale Branch was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Hampton County Hurricanes, falling 16-1. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost five in a row.

Whale Branch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sylise Edwards, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Whale Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hampton County, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Whale Branch is set to take on their familiar foe Barnwell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hampton County will challenge rival Bridges Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
