Basketball Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Cinco Ranch

Cinco Ranch entered their tilt with Paetow on Thursday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They took down the Paetow Panthers 64-48. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Panthers are ranked 642nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cinco Ranch was led to victory by Aniya' Foy and Lydia Polk. Foy almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds, while Polk almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Foy is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 49 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cinco Ranch's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Paetow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
