Volleyball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lake Country Lutheran lost against Franklin back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lightning fell 2-0 to the Sabers.

Adeleine Catlin paced Lake Country Lutheran's offense, picking up eight kills. Catlin got some help from Grace Luedke and her 14 assists. Finally, Catlin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Leading Franklin to victory were Allie Soboinski and Jasmine Meyer. Soboinski had four digs and four aces, while Meyer had nine digs. That's the most digs Soboinski has posted over her last five games.

Lake Country Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Franklin, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Coincidentally, Lake Country Lutheran and Franklin will both be playing Neenah the next time they take the court. The Lightning will head out to face the Rockets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Sabers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
