Harlan dropped their record down to 6-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knott County Central Patriots. If the Green Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harlan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Luttrell, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Knott County Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

On Knott County Central's side, the team relied heavily on Michael Parks, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Mason Burnett also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlan will host Middlesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Knott County Central, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Rowan County at 12:00 p.m.
