Biddeford hasn't had much luck against Thornton Academy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 11:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Biddeford's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Portland 10-0. The Tigers have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Landon Sirois was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Sirois was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Biddeford got a massive performance out of Kaden Langevin, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave Langevin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Haggett, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Biddeford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thornton Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Windham on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Thornton Academy also got a great performance from Ben Indorf as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Indorf has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brennan Tabor was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Thornton Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3-1 otherwise. Jacob Fish was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Thornton Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Biddeford, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Biddeford couldn't quite get it done against Thornton Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
