Basketball Recap: Apollo Comes Up Short

Apollo suffered their biggest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Daviess County Panthers 72-38. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Panthers are ranked 35th).

Apollo's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Daviess County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Looking ahead, Apollo will take on Hancock County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Daviess County, they have already played their next game, a 70-61 defeat against Breckinridge County on the 8th.
