Basketball Recap: Aubrey Sparks Key Part of a Team Effort in Patriots Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Owen Valley had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Speedway Sparkplugs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Owen Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrey Sparks, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 21 points. Hannah Bixler was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

Despite the loss, Speedway still got an impressive performance from Macy DeLisle, who posted 15 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Walton, who put up three points and six rebounds.

Owen Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Speedway, they moved to 9-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Owen Valley will square off against Indianapolis Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Owen Valley is facing Indianapolis Washington at the right time seeing as Indianapolis Washington is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Speedway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
