Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats
While it was all tied up 15-15 at halftime, Pleasanton was not quite Carrizo Springs's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carrizo Springs Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-34 back in December of 2024.
Carrizo Springs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Melanie Davila out in front who posted 11 points along with six assists and six boards. Andrea Rangel was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.
Pleasanton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Carrizo Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Devine the next time they take the court. Carrizo Springs will host Devine at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Pleasanton will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
