Basketball Game Preview: Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs vs. Western Hills Wolverines

The Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs will square off against the Western Hills Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Paul Laurence Dunbar had to suffer through a 92-55 loss at the hands of George Rogers Clark. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Western Hills strolled past Frankfort with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 65-49. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Paul Laurence Dunbar has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Western Hills, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
