            Softball Recap: Lakewood Cougars vs. Oak Harbor Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Lakewood extended their losing streak  to three  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-9 in the process. They lost  11-1 to the Oak Harbor Wildcats. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Lakewood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Riley Pevny, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double.
As for Oak Harbor, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. Considering they have won six games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 On Oak Harbor's side,  Ady Morales was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  Morales has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haylee Burleigh, who  earned three  runs and one  stolen base.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will square off against Lynden Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Lyncs will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Harbor, they will take on Squalicum at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Storm at the right time seeing as the Storm are stuck on  a  13-game losing streak.
