Softball Recap: Windsor's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Windsor extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping their season record up to 9-4 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Surry County Cougars a 10-0 shutout. The Dukes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

As for Surry County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in April.

For Surry County's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Whitney Griffin, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Looking ahead, Windsor will face off against Brunswick at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Surry County will be paying especially close attention to the Dukes' match: after the Dukes face off against Surry County, they'll take on Surry County again at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
