Football Recap: Lehighton Find Success

Lehighton won the last time they faced Tamaqua and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians came out on top against the Blue Raiders by a score of 27-16.

Despite the defeat, Tamaqua saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Terrence McDowell Jr rushed for 149 yards and two TDs.

The win got Lehighton back to even at 4-4. As for Tamaqua, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Lehighton will be playing at home against North Schuylkill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tamaqua, they will venture away from home to take on Northwestern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Raiders will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
