Stephenson skates past Stone Mountain with ease

Recap: Stephenson Jaguars vs. Stone Mountain Pirates

There's no place like home for the Stephenson Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by Stone Mountain at home to the tune of 55-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stephenson also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shameon King, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makayla Wilson, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds.

Stephenson has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 3-4 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Stone Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Stephenson will head out on the road to face off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Druid Hills at 5:30 p.m. Druid Hills is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
