Softball Game Preview: Oak Hill Oaks vs. Alexander Spartans

The Oak Hill Oaks will challenge the Alexander Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oak Hill came up short against Clay on Friday, falling 15-2. The Oaks have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Alexander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to Meigs. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jordan Sheets and Kaylee Hudnall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sheets went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run, while Hudnall went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Sheets has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Gwen Dunfee also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Oak Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
