Volleyball Recap: Smoky Valley Takes a Loss

Smoky Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moundridge Wildcats. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Smoky Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Moundridge work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-15.

Smoky Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Moundridge, their victory was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Smoky Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Belle Plaine on the 4th. As for Moundridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 0-0 tie against Mulvane on the 4th.
