Baseball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-1 to the Watauga Pioneers. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Freedom saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JONAH GRIGGS, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Freedom now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Watauga, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Coming up, Freedom will square off against Alexander Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom's pitchers better be ready for this one: Alexander Central has averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Watauga, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-4 win against Davie on the 29th.
