Basketball Recap: Foshay Skates Past Stella High Charter Academy with Ease

There's no place like home for Foshay, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Stella High Charter Academy Eagles 69-42. The matchup marked the Wolverines' most dominant victory of the season.

Foshay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shomare' Gray, who posted 26 points and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Gray has scored at least a third of Foshay's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Egwurube, who earned 17 points along with seven boards and five steals.

Gray wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Foshay was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Foshay's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Stella High Charter Academy, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Foshay won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carson at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Foshay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season. As for Stella High Charter Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Middle College at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
