Basketball Recap: Winters Mill Takes a Loss

Winters Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 47-26 to the Century Knights. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Winters Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Century, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Francis Scott Key knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Winters Mill likes a good challenge. As for Century, they will square off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Century surely won't give up without a fight.
