Baseball Recap: LaBrae Gets the Win

LaBrae won the last time they faced Southeast and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Pirates 3-1.

Landon Brunstetter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Brunstetter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Brunstetter wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Austin Rowe, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

LaBrae's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Southeast, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.

LaBrae will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
