Soccer Recap: University Comes Up Short

University entered their contest against Lyman on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The University Cougars fell just short of the Lyman Greyhounds by a score of 3-2. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

A'Del Zammar and Hassan Hakim scored both of University's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

University's loss dropped their record down to 9-2-2. As for Lyman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1-5.

University wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, an 8-1 win against Evans on the 9th. Lyman has also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Oviedo on the 8th.
