Gate City is 8-1-1 against John Battle since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Gate City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

Gate City is headed into the game having not lost since March 24 and will look to keep things rolling. Everything went their way against Central Wise on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Keegan Bright was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, John Battle was not quite Virginia High's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 3-2.

Gate City's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for John Battle, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Gate City took their win against John Battle in their previous meeting on April 4th by a conclusive 5-0 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
