After a string of five wins, Goliad's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 37-28 to the Edna Cowboys. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cowboys from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Goliad's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for Edna, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Goliad will square off against rival Aransas Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Edna is set to challenge their familiar foe West Oso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
