Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Takes a Loss

Christian Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 59-37 to British International School of Chicago. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as British International School of Chicago apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead British International School of Chicago to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Richer, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Richer a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Hogue, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Christian Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for British International School of Chicago, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roycemore at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Christian Heritage Academy is facing Roycemore at the right time seeing as Roycemore is stuck on a five-game losing streak. British International School of Chicago also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Holy Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
