Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview and Middleburg squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Ridgeview had to settle for second. They took a 71-54 bruising from the Middleburg Broncos. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now lost three in a row.

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Middleburg, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.

Ridgeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middleburg, they will face off against Fleming Island at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fleming Island knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Middleburg likes a good challenge.
