Softball Recap: St. Agnes Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

St. Agnes Academy dropped their record down to 17-5-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Pius X Panthers. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

As for St. Pius X, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

For St. Pius X's part, Kennedy Flenner 2026 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

At the plate, St. Pius X's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Celeste Reed 2028, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Coming up, St. Agnes Academy will face off against Fort Bend Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Pius X, they will challenge St. John's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
