Preview: Carrington Cardinals vs. Grafton Spoilers
After two games on the road, Carrington is heading back home. They will take on the Grafton Spoilers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carrington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Grafton is ranked fifth).
Carrington won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They were beaten by Four Winds/Minnewaukan 87-41.
Meanwhile, Grafton can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They breezed by Thief River Falls at home to the tune of 88-34. That 54 points margin sets a new team best for Grafton this season.
Carrington's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Grafton, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
Carrington was able to grind out a solid win over Grafton when the teams last played back in February of 2022, winning 63-55. Does Carrington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Grafton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
