Football Game Preview: Forbush Falcons vs. West Stokes Wildcats

The Forbush Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the West Stokes Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forbush has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while West Stokes will come in with three straight wins.

Forbush is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against North Surry on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons took a blow against the Greyhounds, falling 48-13. The Falcons were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Although Forbush took the loss, they still got scores from Trey Speaks and Spencer Foster.

West Stokes not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29th (when they won 49-0). They blew past Surry Central 42-9.

Forbush's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for West Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Forbush was able to grind out a solid win over West Stokes in their previous meeting back in October, winning 24-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
