Basketball Recap: Pendleton County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harrison County last Friday, Pendleton County came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Conner Cougars by a score of 64-61 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Pendleton County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Conner, they moved to 3-16 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Pendleton County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 94-16 victory against Robertson County on the 2nd. As for Conner, they will be playing at home against Dixie Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.26 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
