Baseball Recap: Goodland Takes a Loss

Goodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Burlington Cougars. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Goodland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Thorson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Goodland's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burlington, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Goodland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
