Basketball Recap: Monroe Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Monroe posted their biggest win since February 3, 2024 on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Franklin Wildcats as the Monroe Hornets made off with a 33-7 victory. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 34-32 defeat.

Monroe's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Franklin, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Monroe will face off against Carlisle at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to take on Waynesville at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
