Soccer Recap: Southeastern Local Comes Up Short

If Southeastern Local was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Whitehall-Yearling on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 6-4 to the West Jefferson Roughriders on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for Southeastern Local in their meetings with West Jefferson: they've now lost seven in a row.

Galina Spracklen and Josie Henry scored all four of Southeastern Local's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Southeastern Local's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for West Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

Coming up, Southeastern Local will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairbanks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Jefferson, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Graham Local at 6:00 p.m. on September 10.
