Softball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City lost against Hickory back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 8-5 to the Hornets.

Grove City saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Thompson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Hickory, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grove City is set to square off against their familiar foe Franklin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hickory will challenge rival Oil City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
