Football Recap: Evanston Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Vista Ridge + How To Watch

Evanston is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Vista Ridge. The Devils were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of the Wolves. The Devils lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 38-14 score last time.

Vista Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colton Camba led the charge by throwing for 182 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also punching in one score on the ground. Deron Tiggett helped Camba out on the ground, rushing for 73 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries.

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Vista Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Evanston will take on Riverton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista Ridge, they will square off against Denver South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
