Football Recap: Northridge Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Northridge kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to the Fort Wayne North Side Legends on the road by a 21-7 margin. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 32-20 to the Legends when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Karsyn Rumfelt threw for 228 yards on 18 of 39 attempts. Keivontre Copeland was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards. On the ground, Adam Sloop rushed for 43 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge will host Elkhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne North Side, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against New Haven at 7:00 p.m.
