Baseball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

The Waverly Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Meigs Marauders on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Waverly's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Meigs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Waverly will take on South Webster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jeeps' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Meigs, they will square off against Nelsonville-York at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Marauders are facing the Buckeyes at the right time seeing as the Buckeyes are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
