Volleyball Recap: South Ripley Raiders vs. Lawrenceburg Tigers
After flying high against Switzerland County last Wednesday, South Ripley came back down to earth. The South Ripley Raiders lost 3-0 to the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-21.
Lawrenceburg was led to victory by Bryleigh Boyd and Bella Nare. Boyd had 17 digs, while Nare had five aces and three digs. The dominant performance gave Nare a new career-high in aces.
South Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lawrenceburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
South Ripley will venture away from home to face off against Oldenburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrenceburg, they will face off against Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
