Baseball Game Preview: Parkville Knights vs. Dundalk Owls

The Parkville Knights will challenge the Dundalk Owls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Parkville has three straight victories, Dundalk has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Parkville came out on top against Catonsville on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Comets.

Collin Cuddy looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Parkville: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 4-5 otherwise.

At the plate, Teddy Pineda was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Dundalk's offense. They came up short against Western Tech & Environmental Science on Thursday, falling 12-0.

Parkville's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Dundalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Parkville took their win against Dundalk in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
