Baseball Recap: Tigard Finds Home Field Redemption Against West Linn

There's no place like home for Tigard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the West Linn Lions on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Lions on Tuesday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Ryan Frye looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Tigard is 7-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-11-1 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Conner Reilly, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Conner Bok was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tigard's win bumped their record up to 11-13-1. As for West Linn, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5.

Tigard will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
