Circleville has won five straight games at home, while Waverly has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. Circleville will take on Waverly in a tournament on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Circleville saw some tournament action on Thursday. Everything went their way against Fairfield Union as they made off with a 3-0 win.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21, 25-12.
Meanwhile, Waverly was able to grind out a solid victory over Warren on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.
Waverly was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 25-10, 25-15.
Waverly found their leader in sophomore Hadley Ramsey, who had nine digs and one assist.
Waverly was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren only served seven.
Waverly's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Circleville, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
Circleville was able to grind out a solid win over Waverly when the teams last played back in September of 2023, winning 2-0. Does Circleville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waverly turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
