Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amanda Elzy). They enjoyed a cozy 53-39 victory over the Leflore County Tigers on Thursday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 68-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Amanda Elzy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Leflore County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amanda Elzy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Bolivar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leflore County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palmer at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
