Basketball Recap: Red Bird Comes Up Short

Red Bird was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers 78-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-28 back in December of 2024.

Red Bird's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Red Bird will be playing at home against Owsley County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oneida Baptist Institute has already played their next game (against Menifee County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
