Covington-Douglas scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 73-66 to the Cimarron Trailblazers. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Cimarron's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Butler, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 15 boards, and ten assists. Butler's morning made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Avery Butler was another key player, putting up 20 points and eight rebounds.

Covington-Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Cimarron, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-9.

Covington-Douglas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-36 win against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale on the 25th. As for Cimarron, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-55 defeat against Waukomis on the 25th.
