Baseball Recap: Stanley-Boyd Takes a Loss

Stanley-Boyd made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Fall Creek, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Orioles fell just short of the Crickets by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Orioles in their meetings with the Crickets: they've now lost six in a row.

Stanley-Boyd saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Jackson Gindt was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Stanley-Boyd's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fall Creek, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

While Stanley-Boyd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
