Harnett Central hadn't done well against Union Pines recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 2-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Harnett Central sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Corbin Frankson and Micheal McMiller scored both of Harnett Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Harnett Central's win bumped their record up to 11-3-2. As for Union Pines, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
